Our First Chapter
It feels very strange having stopped for a moment to sit here and write this. You spend so much time looking forward in a start-up, it’s very rare that you look back.
It’s been a whirlwind 10 or so months since the idea for PUNCHY was formed, full of ups and downs, good days, bad days, lots of laughs, and even tears. But here we are, ready to have a stand at Taste of London, the biggest food and drink festival in the world, full of optimism, belief and excitement.
Like most founding teams, we’ve been making it up as we go along! Which is only natural when you’re doing everything for the first time. We’ve covered a lot bases; from developing recipes, to a successful raise, whilst building a brand we believe in from scratch – with its very own story, identity, and even website.
If there’s a mistake you can make, we’ve probably made it, but the important thing is we have got through them all. We’ve taken an idea and turned it into a reality, and for that alone I think we’ll always be proud.
We’re by no means done yet though. PUNCHY might be small now, but it has big dreams, and whilst we might want to conquer the world, we’ll always be grounded – we believe wholeheartedly in PUNCHY’s success, but we’re also very aware that it might not be around forever. Which is why giving it our all now is the important bit.
